The Decatur Police Department needs your help in solving this week’s crime of the week.
On November 25th at 12:58 pm officers responded to the 700 block of N. Van Dyke St. in reference to a vehicle crash involving a person on a bicycle. When officers arrived on scene they learned an 11 year old boy had been struck by a vehicle and injured, while riding his bicycle. The vehicle that struck this boy left the scene and did not return.
The vehicle is described as a green or black colored possibly Toyota Camry with license plates starting with an “L” and ending with a “4”. The vehicle may also have front end damage. The driver of this vehicle was described as a mixed male, late teens. There was also a w/f in the front passenger seat and a w/m in the back seat. The Decatur Police Department needs your help in solving this crime.

Crime Stoppers will pay $500 for information that leads to an arrest on the crime of the week. There are also additional funds set aside for information that leads to an arrest on this crime. Crime Stoppers will also pay cash for information leading to the arrest of any person responsible for a felony crime in Macon County.
